The mess kit model 1905/14/32 consisted of a pot with handle, a shallow cover, which could be utilized as a plate or as the pot cover and a small cup. Were made of aluminum but existing models of tin all painted khaki. The paint was prone to wear off easily. The top of the pot was enlarged around its upper edge to accommodate the cover. Near the upper edge of the pot were two aluminum loops for the strap. The mess kit was carried in two ways:

-          strapped to the cover flap of the back pack

-          inside to the bred bag
