Greece officially declared war against the Central Powers on 30 June 1917, and would eventually raise ten divisions for the allied effort, alongside the Royal Hellenic Navy. Based in the French M1914/15 tunic, primly was seen as a barracks and walking out garment behind the lines. Many variations of cloth and color are known, including, green, yellowish brown, grey-green etc. The woolen tunic has a standing collar, and fastened by five unconcealed bone or plain metal buttons; cuffs and shoulders were quite plain. There are two side pockets made with or without flaps. There is an integral pocket for the first aid pack.
