The Badge of the Sacred Band or Squadron, which resembles the War Cross of 1916-1917, was created towards the end of 1942 by an Order of the Day of the Commander of the Sacred Squadron and this with full approval of the Greek General Staff of the Middle East. The decoration was worn by officers, NCO’s and men of the Sacred Squadron during their active service. The Badge reverse is concave features a wide tapering pin bar. The Badge was worn on the right side of the breast.
