Description

Soldier Wallet [SW]
Soldier Wallet [SW]

The Soldier Wallet consists of paper and metal currency (175,50 drs). It's ideal to complete your impression (or to buy something to eat at the front). The salary of a conscripted soldier in 1940 was approximately 45 drachmas.
The original banknotes and coins are graded as P&PR condition (some of them are hard to find except you want to pay a lot) as they would be in the wallet of a soldier who lived in the snow for six months. The Soldier Wallet contains 2/50 drs banknotes, 2/20 drs banknotes, 2/10 drs banknotes (the 20 and 10 drs banknotes replaced the silver 20 and 10drs coins of 1930). The coins consist of cupro-nickel 1/50 lepta, 1/1 drachma, and 2/2 drachmae and made of nickel 2/5 drachmae.
